my manifesto



  1. practice yoga.
  2. labels are for tin cans.
  3. don't judge meat eaters.
  4. don't judge non meat eaters.
  5. laugh loudly. laugh often.
  6. ride your bike to yoga.
  7. wear a helmet.
  8. eat your greens.
  9. keep your friends close to you.
  10. make a new friend.
  11. keep a friend.
  12. forgive a friend.
  13. forgive yourself.
  14. call your parents.
  15. be kind to others. embrace everyone's uniqueness.
  16. put yourself in uncomfortable positions on and off the mat.
  17. daydream often.
  18. all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage. amazing things will happen.
  19. shop at farmers markets.
  20. drink local wine.
  21. eat local cheese.
  22. have dinner parties often.
  23. practice yoga outside whenever you can.
  24. have a picnic under a tree.
  25. send thank you cards not texts.
  26. practice frequent media fasting.
  27. be chariable.
  28. be patient.
  29. love the body you’re in. be beYOUtiful. 
  30. embrace your uniqueness, knowing that there will never ever be someone exactly like you.
  31. be content with less.
  32. plant a garden. water a plant.
  33. healthy doesn't mean perfect. perfect is boring.
  34. drink coffee because you love it, not because you NEEEEED it.
  35. know what you’re afraid of and take steps to change that relationship.
  36. say thank you everyday. 
  37. look at the sky from under a tree.
  38. eat real, whole foods every single day.
  39. get a tattoo... or not.
  40. go for a walk in a new neighbourhood. 
  41. hug someone everyday.
  42. kiss someone everyday.
  43. get up early everyday. 
  44. sleep in on occasion.
  45. start everyday with a glass of lemon water.
  46. floss.
  47. cover your fridge with pictures of people you love.
  48. shop at Kensington Market.
  49. travel with friends.
  50. practice yoga to music.
  51. take a restorative yoga class whenever you can.
  52. introduce yourself to strangers.
  53. walk around your house naked.
  54. wear sexy underwear.
  55. join Autoshare.
  56. run outside.
  57. learn to cook three delicious meals.
  58. do somethings that scares you everyday.
  59. when you toot, always say excuse me!
  60. drink coconut water instead of Gatorade.
  61. drink Champagne.
  62. start the mornings with a green monster juice.
  63. roll out your yoga mat in a different spot every day.
  64. soak your beans and rice over night, your tummy will thank you and your waist line will shrink.
  65. sit in a park for an hour every week.
  66. clean your home.
  67. donate clothing you have not worn in 12 months.
  68. learn to scuba dive.
  69. watch movies that make you cry.
  70. watch movies that make you laugh.
  71. inhale.
  72. exhale.
  73. always come back to your breath.
  74. dance your tush off!
  75. play with kids. 
  76. meditate.
  77. before you speak, ask yourself…is it useful?…necessary?…kind?
  78. wait tables once in your life as a job.
  79. tip big.
  80. hold the door open for someone.
  81. offer your seat on the bus to someone.
  82. teach someone something.
  83. be great at a couple of things instead of okay at a lot.
  84. eat dinner every night with your good china.
  85. bake someone a birthday cake.
  86. take naps with your kitty cat.
  87. speak up for what you believe in.
  88. buy the chocolate covered almonds from the kid raising money for his team.
  89. cheer people on at a marathon.
  90. run a marathon.
  91. be passionate.
  92. be a leader.
  93. be part of a team.
  94. be open to change…in fact, embrace it!
  95. have a spa date once a season. 
  96. go out there and do things…like now.
  97. write down your dreams, then turn them into goals (with timelines!)
  98. have your tush kicked regularly by janey b and michael decorte.
  99. learn something new…take a class
  100. practice yoga! :)
